Transfer: Mikel Obi Keen To Quit Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi wants to leave the club at the end of the season. Mikel, 26, wants to quit this summer after falling out of favour under ‘Special one’ Jose Mourinho.

The January arrival of Nemanja Matic, an important addition in a holding role, has further limited Mikel’s chances. But he still has three years on his contract and the Blues would demand a hefty fee.

Source comfirm that Turkish professional football club based in Istanbul, Galatasaray have expressed firm interest but Mikel wants to weigh up his options.

Having joined Chelsea from Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in 2006, Mikel has made more than 300 appearances, winning the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League and four FA Cups.

Meanwhile, Mourinho insists Chelsea’s Champions League opponents Paris Saint-Germain would have to stump up an astonishing £300million if they really want to prise Eden Hazard and Oscar from Stamford Bridge.

The  mega-rich French club have been linked with the duo but Mourinho said: ‘No problem. If there is Financial Fair Play, they don’t have money to buy them. If there is no Financial Fair Play and it’s £300m for both, Chelsea have to think about it.’
