EME's Niyola Survives Deadly Car Accident

Nigerian singer, Eniola Akinbo, popularly known as Niyola, miraculously survived a fatal car accident on saturday at about 7pm. The EME first lady was driving with one of her friends when the accident occurred. They were driving in a Honda CRV from Lekki, Lagos after a meeting.

“Niyola had just exited the third mainland bridge on her way to the mainland area of Lagos when the accident occurred at the Oworonshoki axis. We were reliably informed that a vehicle which was trying to overtake Niyola’s car hit her CRV from behind, which sent the latter’s car tumbling. The car is said to have tumbled three times before hitting a tree by the roadside. The EME first lady was immediately taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The Honda CRV has also been towed away from the accident spot.”

Confirming the accident, a rep from the EME record label said ‘Yes, it’s true. But she’s okay. It’s unbelievable that they survived”

Niyola's latest single, Belle No Be Showglass, gives us another glimpse into her unique take on the Nigerian R&B/Pop music scene. Signed to Empire Mates Entertainment, with a sizeable catalogue of unreleased material, expect several more singles and videos leading up to Niyola’s sophomore album scheduled for a late 2014 release.
