Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, has urged Nigerians to believe in his team's ability to win the ongoing African
Nations Championship in South Africa.
Keshi told the News Agency of Nigeria in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on Monday that the Eagles squad had dedicated players that were determined to work hard for the trophy.
The coach, therefore, enjoined Nigerians to pray for the team.
"I am so proud to be a Nigerian. And I want to thank all Nigerians that are praying for this team.
"All they have to have is patience. Patience is key in football. They don’t have to write the players off or the team off because they lose one game.
"We are not going to win all the games. We will win some, lose some. So, they need to have patience and believe in the players because some of us that have played know that we can do anything.
"So, if they can believe in their abilities and know that Nigerians are behind them, that can push them to highest," he said.
Keshi said that he had been working tirelessly to make the players to believe in their abilities.
He said, "Such motivation made the team to work hard and stage a major come-back against Morocco in the quarter-final match."
